Chalk have been touring throughout Australian schools since 1998, having so far performed over 1000 shows to more than 300,000 kids.  In the last three years Chalk has firmly established its artistic direction, branching out into larger public performances with the full five piece band.  2004 will be Chalk’s last year of touring schools as we throw our full focus into the larger band format, with a view to touring theatres, events and festivals nationally and internationally. 

Chalk currently has its second full length album recorded in demo format, and is ready to record for release with the right label. The strong educational principles of our material also offer the potential for children’s television.  Additionally, we hold registered trademarks for the “Chalk – Kids Music Comedy” logo and pending for the “Andy” device.  

Chalk is seeking an experienced and well connected manager or management company to fully exploit the above opportunities, with a further ability to develop merchandise lines.  This presents an exciting opportunity to break into an untapped area of the music industry, as no other Australian band is writing and performing alternative original music for primary school aged children who have outgrown the Wiggles/Hi-5.  Chalk are a unique offering to the Australian music scene and offer potential for a multitude of income streams beyond live performances and CD sales.
